HIV CAME FROM CHIMPS!

I believe the Hunter theory is waaaaay more plausible compared to the Conspiracy theory, this is because of many reasons. First of all, it is a known fact that HIV stems from SIV. And it is widely accepted that SIV comes from chimps. The hunter theory believes that the virus transferred from apes to humans via hunting. The chimps being killed and eaten somehow got their blood into the hunters' wounds or cuts. This theory also explains how there are multiple different strands of the virus. Mostly I believe this theory because of the strict scientific evidence.

The conspiracy theory just seems ridiculous to me, though I do have sympathy and understanding for those groups who are mainly affected by AIDS. There is no proof that the Government started this epidemic nor is there any scientific fact. I think African Americans and Gays are frustrated that the disease is causing them so much pain and we can't figure out a cure that fingers are starting to be pointed. I know that African Americans have a reason not to trust the Government (Tuskegee), but there comes a point where science and forgiveness needs to play a part. I believe that if everyone is educated about the virus a lot of these bogus theories will go away.

I do image it is important to know where the virus originated from, but only to a certain extent. I think it is more important to know how the virus spreads and how it lives.
